  • Wild About Read event a huge success

Salisbury, Md. — The  Salisbury Zoo and Eastern Shore Reading Council (ESRC)  partnered with a variety of community organizations to offer a focused evening on literacy activities around components of the zoo. Children and parents were invited to learn about different zoo animals through a variety of literacy activities.

“It is always a wonderful opportunity to interact with the children of our local communities and share the power of literacy,” ESRC President Lizanne Wallace stated about the annual event as the organization gave away hundreds of different titles away to children. “We want to continue to support children and families offering books and tools to support literacy in the home. The Zoo along with the many organizations here offer a great platform for us to interact with the youth of our community. We are very thankful to be part of this event every year.”
